Heritage
Blueberries. If asked to write a sentence about these at school most kids would write a simple phrase like: It is blue... They taste good... They are my favorite food... etc. Whereas my sentence would turn into a paragraph, then a essay, and possibly a story. Blueberries are as much a part of my heritage as my family. It all starts at my lake house where one of the local legends is that the blueberries can make you live longer, it then travels to the bush in front of my house and the mountain called Pitcher Mountain which is covered in their bushes. I have Irish, English, German, Scandinavian, and Dutch heritage I also have the blueberries... not to mention the herons, but I will tell you about that some other time. :)

I have to wonder if there are any better tasting blueberries than the ones that are atop Pitcher Mountain? Great dessert!
